About Us

For the last 20+ years we have conducted research and analyses for just a few clients. We are now ready to expand and would like to introduce our services to you. Hydreion scientists have over 25 years of experience providing a full range of microbiological analysis and research. We strive to develop cost-effective solutions to our clients’ microbial needs.

Dr. Jim GannonHydreion's lead scientist is Jim Gannon, pictured left directing research in the Okavango Delta, Botswana. Dr. Gannon has worked for over 25 years in industrial water systems (cooling, oil field, etc) and industrial bulk materials such as pulp and paper, sugar, and metal working fluids. In addition he has directed many large environmental studies such as those concerned with contaminated soil and groundwater. He studied for 6 years in the laboratory of Dr. E.O. Bennett, who was the world's foremost expert in the microbiology of industrial fluids. He is currently a Professor at the University of Montana where he continues to direct research and teach classes in Applied Microbiology.
